1. Working principle
Elastic preload: after compression, a reverse force is generated to maintain the tension of the bolt/nut.
Friction locking: the serration or toothed design increases the friction of the contact surface.
Mechanical interlocking: the toothed washer prevents rotation by embedding into the metal surface.
